About us
PRO Structures Ltd was founded in 2007 and offers structural and civil engineering consultancy services for the residential, office, public and commercial sectors. Our clients include local and regional developers and housebuilders; architects throughout the southwest, and specialist contractors, so no two days will ever be the same!
We also provide structural consultancy services for new commercial developments; refurbishment and change of use projects; bespoke new build residential schemes; volume housing design and façade engineering design verification work.
We believe in partnership and collaboration, both with our clients and internally with our staff.
About you
The successful candidate will be collaborating with our Senior engineer on a stimulating variety of projects, interacting with both our clients and directors, with plenty of opportunity to broaden their knowledge base and develop professionally.
Essential – technical knowledge
MSc in structural / civil engineering
A knowledge of steel, concrete, timber, and load bearing masonry structures
Experience with relevant computer software – notably MasterSeries and TEDDS – along with the ability to draw in AutoCAD (2D)
Ability to design to the Eurocodes

Good communication stills and a can-do attitude – you will feel comfortable liaising with both clients and colleagues at all levels
Commercial awareness
Eligible to live and work in the UK
A high standard of written and spoken English
Full, clean driving licence
Desirable
BIM/REVIT capability and 3D modelling experience
A typical day’s work could include:
Structural analysis and design across all material with occasional drawing work
Liaison with the whole project team internally and with clients
Site visits
Structural surveying and report writing

You will be employed on a permanent contract, working 37.5 hours per week. There is flexibility with start and finish times, around the core working hours of Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm, and a degree of hybrid working will also be possible.
